Rafflesia tuanmudae the world's largest flower can be found at Gunung Gading which is situated about 120 kms from Kuching, the journey passes through dense, luxuriant rainforest, rubber plantations, pepper orchards, cocoa gardens, padi fields, small roadside towns and kampongs. The Park consists of a rugged network of mountains made up of several peaks. Gunung Gading is the highest at 906 metres. These mountains are an important landmark in the Lundu district and the whole region is one of remarkable beauty. Gunung Gading is not only home to the world's largest flower, the Rafflesia which at full bloom stretches nearly one metre in width but also to other numerous rare plants. There is however no particular flowering season for Rafflesia but each flower bloom will last only a few days. Tour can be arrange to this National Park on either Daytrip basis or overnight.

N.B. We advise that this tour should only be taken during the dry season when the flower is more likely to be in full bloom.
